TACOMA, Wash. - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team dropped a tough 1-0 decision to seventh-ranked Puget Sound, Saturday evening in Tacoma, Wash. at UPS' brand-new Peyton Field.

PLU extended its home winning streak to 31 games with the win. Sophomore Elizabeth Pitman scored 32 minutes into the contest from eight yards way hitting the inside left post.

HSU goalkeeper and Washington native Rachel Goold had eight saves in her homecoming.

The Cowgirls fell to 1-1 on the season and UPS improved to 1-0. The schedule gets no easier for HSU as it plays nationally-ranked Trinity and Emory next weekend in the UT-Dallas Classic.
