SEASIDE, Calif. - Playing against mainly Division I and II teams, the Hardin-Simmons women's golf team had a solid showing placing 12th at the Lady Otter Invitational, Monday and Tuesday in Seaside, California. The Cowgirls were the top Division III team in the tournament, which will help their chances of qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the spring. Kristi Martin once again led the Cowgirls effort with a 37th-place finish in the 106-player field. She fired rounds of 88 and 83 for a two-day 171. Megan Bennett (181), Chandra Hayes (184), Andra Boxberger (186) and Kate Moss (191) rounded out the Cowgirl lineup. Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo won the tournament with a team total of 638. The Cowgirls finished at 719. The event concludes the Cowgirls' fall season. |
