TEMPLE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' golf team is in eighth place after one round of the Mary Hardin-Baylor Fall Invite. HSU shot a 350 in the opening round at the Wildflower Golf Club in Temple.

The Cowgirls were third out of eight Division III teams. Northwood University leads the tournament with a 326.

Andra Boxberger led the Cowgirls with an 84. Kristi Martin and Chandra Hayes shot 88s and Megan Bennett fired a 90 and Andrea Conley rounded out the lineup with a 95. Kate Moss shot 91 and Shelby Harp shot 98 playing as an individual.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
