BELTON, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's golf team shot a 338 and sit in second place at the Mary Hardin-Baylor Fall Invite after one round at the Wildflower Golf Club in Belton.

Kristi Martin led the way for the Cowgirls with a 79 and she is tied for second place in the medalist race. Whitney Mitchell and Chandra Hayes both shot 85's and Megan Bennett fired an 89. Andra Boxberger had a 92. Andrea Conley shot an 85 playing as in individual.

Southwestern University leads the tournament after shooting a 323. Delilah Dominiguez shot a 78 to lead the individual race by one shot. Tyler Junior College, Oklahoma Baptist and UC-Santa Cruz round out the top five in the 17-team field.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
