SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's golf team came up just short on both the individual and team titles at the Alamo City Classic at Silver horn Golf Club in san Antonio.

The Cowgirls shot the round of the day with a 340, but could not overcome Texas Lutheran for the title. The Lady Bulldogs shot 340-344-684 and the Cowgirls went 346-340-686. Mary Hardin-Baylor was third with a 696, Trinity was fourth, McMurry fifth and LeTourneau rounded out the field in sixth.

Senior Kristi Martin tied with Angela Aufderhaar with a two-round 160 for the medalist lead, but Aufderhaar won a playoff to claim the title.

Martin shot 84-76, followed by Chandra Hayes' 84-86-170, Whitney Mitchell shot 89-88-177, Megan Bennett shot 89-90-179 and Andra Boxberger filled out the lineup with a 91-96-187.

HSU returns to action on Monday at the UMHB Fall Invitational.
