AUSTIN, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's golf team had a rocky second round and finished in ninth place at the St. Edward's Fall Invitational, Tuesday morning in Austin. The Cowgirls were in sixth place after a first round 345 but fell back to a 372 in the second round and finished with a two-round 717. Tarleton State won the event with a 651. St. Mary's, St Edward's, Mary Hardin-Baylor and St. Edward's JV rounded out the top five. Kristi Martin led the Cowgirls' charge with a 15th place finish. She shot rounds of 78 and 90. Andra Boxberger (86-95 - 181), Kate Moss (94-89-183), Chandra Hayes (88-98-196), and Andrea Conley (93-102-195) rounded out the Cowgirl lineup. Megan Bennett and Shelby Harp played as individuals for the Cowgirls. Harp had rounds of 101 and 95 and Megan Bennett shot 100 and 98. Kerri Self of Tarleton State won medalist honors. |
