Hardin-Simmons' women's golf team fell to sixth place in the second round of the UMHB Fall Invitational that was held at Wildflower Country Club in Temple.

Ashley Luecke led the Cowgirls with a two-round 164, good for a tie for 10^th place. She shot 77-87. Whitney Mitchell also shot an 87 and finished with a 177. Caitlin Raymond shot a 92-95-187, Heather Hambrick 98-95--196. De Lane Griffith had to withdrawal.

Bethany Harsfield shot 97 and Kendra Lafayette shot a 110 playing as individuals.

Tyler Junior College won the event with a 650 total. HSU had a two-round 721.

HSU will play at UT-Tyler next week in the final tournament of the fall.
