SEGUIN, Texas - Hardin-Simmons finished in third place out of 11 teams at the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic, Tuesday afternoon in Seguin.

The Cowgirls finished 11 strokes behind four-time defending national runner-up Mary Hardin-Baylor for second and were 48 shots behind runaway winner St. Mary's. The Cowgirls had round of 332 and 330.

Sophomore Kate Moss led the Cowgirl contingent with a pair of 78's to shoot 156 and place eighth overall. Junior Kristi Martin fired an 81-78 to finish tied for ninth. Andra Boxberger (83-81-164), Andrea Conley (90-93-183) and Chandra Hayes (90-94) rounded out the Cowgirl lineup. Megan Bennett shot 83-97 playing as an individual.

Ines Pantoli of Tyler Junior College won the individual title with a 74-75-149.

HSU will return to action Oct. 3-4 at St. Mary's.
