Martin Shoots 81; Cowgirls Remain in 10th

GREEN LAKE, WIS - golf

Hardin-Simmons' women's golf team shot a 360 and remained in 10th place at the NCAA Division III Championships at Golf Courses of Lawsonia's Links Course in Green Lake, Wis.

Cowgirl freshman Kristi Martin made a move in the individual race going from 27th to 18th with an 81. She has a two-round total of 165 and is just eight shots out of fourth place.

The Cowgirls had to count only four scores today as Salem Mitchell had to withdraw. Megan Bennett shot an 88, Chandra Hayes shot a 95 and Andra Boxberger fired a 96.

HSU will tee off at 8 a.m off of No. 10 in the third round of the 72-hole Championship on Thursday.

Wisconsin-Oshkosh remained in the lead with a 326 and they have a three-shot lead over six-time defending champion Methodist College.
