LONGVIEW, Texas - Hardin-Simmons shot a 354 and is in fourth place at the LeTourneau Classic, which is being played at the par-72, 5848-yard Pinecrest Country Club course.

The Cowgirls are 19 shots off the lead of Southwestern, but are within nine shots of Mary Hardin-Baylor and seven of Texas Lutheran. The two teams right in front of them appear to be some of the main competition for the Cowgirls securing a berth to the national tournament.

Kristi Martin led the Cowgirls with an 81 in the first round and she is five strokes off the lead of Paige Choick of Trinity. Whitney Mitchell shot an 87, Chandra Hayes an 89, DeLane Griffith a 97 and Lauren Schaub a 103.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
