ROUND ROCK, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Teravista Invitational, hosted by Southwestern University, Monday and Tuesday at the Teravista Golf Club in Round Rock.

HSU, which opened with a 374 yesterday, improved eight strokes on the day, despite playing without their most experienced player Salem Mitchell.

Mary Hardin-Baylor fielded two teams in the event and finished 1-2, followed by Trinity.

Kristi Martin led the Cowgirls with a 90-85-175 to finish in ninth place. Chandra Hayes was 14th with a 93-86-179. Megan Bennett shot an 89-99-188, followed by Andra Boxberger's 106-96-202. Jessica Travis shot a 102-101-203 to round out the Cowgirl lineup.

The Cowgirls are off until they co-host the American Southwest Conference Championship at Diamondback Golf Course, April 19 and 20.
