TEMPLE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's golf team finished sixth at the Mary Hardin-Baylor Spring Invite that was held on Monday and Tuesday at the Mill Creek Golf Club in Temple.

Freshman Kate Moss led the Cowgirls with rounds of 89 and 88 to finish at 177 and in 27th place in the 14-team tournament. Andra Boxberger (183), Jessica Travis (187) and Megan Bennett (192) rounded out the Cowgirl lineup. The Cowgirls' top player Kristi Martin withdrew with an injury in the first round.

Second-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor won the tournament with scores of 318 and 321. They beat second-place Tyler JC by 32 strokes. HSU shot 368-371 - 739.

The Cowgirls are off until they host the West Texas Intercollegiate on March 14 and 15th at Diamondback Golf Club.
