March 9, 2004 ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons will travel to Stevens Point, Wisconsin for the sectional round of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championships and take on Eastern Mennonite University at 5 p.m. on Friday...HSU is in the sectional round for the sixth straight year they are the only active team to have six straight appearances in the second week of the tournament (Marymount and Bowdoin have made four straight sectionals)...The Cowgirls advanced in the tournament with a 96-72 win over Maryville (tenn.) in front of 1,831 fans at the Mabee Complex last Saturday...HSU and Eastern Mennonite have never met.
