INDIANAPOLIS - Hardin-Simmons' women's basketball team earned a first round bye in the NCAA Tournament and will play the winner of Mary Baldwin (Va.) and Maryville (Tenn.) on Saturday night at the Mabee Complex in Abilene.

HSU has advanced to the Sweet 16 five straight years and would need just one win to make it six. The Mary Baldwin - Maryville game will be contested Wednesday night at Maryville.

The Cowgirls advanced to the tournament with a 74-61 win over Howard Payne, Saturday night in the American Southwest Conference Tournament. HSU is 25-2 on the year.

Tickets for the game will go on sale Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Mabee Complex. Will call tickets will only be accepted on credit card orders.
