ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' senior guard KraTaura Buckner capped her regular-season home career in style with 22 points in a win over Concordia-Austin on Saturday and has been named American Southwest Conference West Division player of the week for her efforts.

One of the top defensive players in the conference, Buckner had a banner week offensively averaging 16.5 points in two games while shooting 69 percent from the field. She also averaged six rebounds 2.5 steals and three assists for the week.

The senior from Wichita Falls is one of five seniors on the Cowgirl basketball team that is ranked second in the nation and that is 22-0 on the season.
