What's on the Line: The Cowgirls can put some separation between themselves and two of the contenders for the ASC West Division. The Cowgirls own a one-game lead over CUA and are four games up on the Lady Cru...HSU is currently tied for first in the ASC West with McMurry and the winner gets to host the ASC Tournament...HSU has won all 13 meetings with Concordia and have won six in a row over Mary Hardin-Baylor.

What's Next: HSU returns home to start a stretch of five games over the course of two weeks. HSU hosts Texas Lutheran on Thursday and Schreiner on Saturday before a key tilt with McMurry on Jan. 31. HSU then turns around and plays TLU and Schreiner on the road the next weekend.

Looking Back: The Cowgirls extended its winning streak to seven games with home wins over Howard Payne and Sul Ross State. Melissa Henley dominated the paint against HPU and Lyssa Dennard hit a jumper as time expired for a 61-60 win. The Cowgirls ran over a young Sul Ross State squad, 82-50. Henley was named ASC player of the week for her efforts.

In the Polls: For the third straight week the Cowgirls have climbed in the national polls. They are currently fourth in the D3hoops.com poll and have moved up to a tie for third place in the WBCA poll.
