Cowgirls Return Home For UMHB and CUA

HSU has won five straight games after its dramatic come-from-behind win at Howard Payne, that including a 14-1 run over the final 3:20 of the game...The Cowgirls have won all 15 meetings with Concordia-Austin, although last year both games were tight games that the Cowgirls pulled off in the final seconds...Mary Hardin-Baylor started the season 0-10, but have won three of four games first-year head coach Kim Kirkpatrick...HSU has not lost to Mary Hardin-Baylor at the Mabee Complex in the ASC era...Lyssa Dennard has regained her shooting stroke just in time for her two favorite teams Concordia-Austin and Mary Hardin-Baylor. She had 17, 22 and 19 points in the final three games against those two teams last season...Magna Green has averaged 8.5 points and 6.5 rebounds against UMHB and CUA in her career...Thursday's game with Mary Hardin-Baylor will be the first game at the Mabee Complex with the new chairback seating on the West side of the arena. Every fan will now have to show a ticket for each game to sit on the reserved side. The seats are purple with a section in gold that spells out HSU and has the Star of Texas...Melissa Henley has moved into the career top 10 in rebounds for the Cowgirls with 389. She is currently 10th and should move to ninth before the end of the season. She also needs one block to tie Kathryn Otwell for third place on the career blocked shot charts.
