ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons senior forward Lauren Harris has been named the American Southwest Conference West Division's co-player of the week with McMurry forward Sonya West.

Harris came back from semester break to set a pair of records and reach two personal milestones in leading No. 20-ranked Hardin-Simmons to three wins. Harris rung-in the new year with an ASC record-tying and HSU-best nine three-point field goals and a career-high 35 points vs. UT Dallas on December 31.

She closed the week scoring her 1,000th career point during a 20-point performance against LeTourneau on Monday. Harris averaged 19 points and five rebounds, and added 11 assists in three games.

Harris is the first Cowgirl to win the award this season.
