ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' junior guard Ashley Allen has been named the American Southwest Conference West Division player of the week for her play in the Southwestern Invitational over the weekend.

Allen averaged 21 points and 8.5 rebounds per game as the Cowgirls won two games. She had a career-best 29 points and 11 rebounds in the win over Southwestern. She also added four assists in the two games.

The junior from Jim Ned High School was also named to the All-Tournament team at the Southwestern Tournament.
