RICHARDSON, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's basketball team used a career-high 35 points and a school record nine 3-pointers from senior forward Lauren Harris en route to a 90-74 win over UT-Dallas, Wednesday afternoon in Richardson.

Harris hit for 22 points with six triples in the first half and added 13 more points and three treys in the second half. The Cowgirls win marked their seventh straight and 32nd in a row over an ASC team.

"They came out in a zone and I was able to get some open looks early because we moved the ball well,"said Harris. "It was just one of those days that my shot felt good and I kept getting good looks."

The Cowgirls received a balanced effort from the rest of the team in a game that was marred by a combined 47 fouls and 61 turnovers. Melissa Henley had 10 points, Erika Keese added nine, Magna Green and Diana Martinez netted eight each.

Crystal Pope led the Comets with 23 points and Kia Jones added 16.

HSU, now 7-1 on the year, will host East Texas Baptist on Saturday at 1 p.m. UTD fell to 2-5 on the year.
