Dennard's 20 Points Propel Cowgirls

LONGVIEW, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' third-ranked women's basketball team remained perfect with an 81-69 American Southwest Conference road win over LeTourneau in Longview.

Lyssa Dennard scored a career best 20 points and added nine rebounds. Sophomore Lindsay Steinberger chipped in 10 points.

A Dennard 3-pointer at the 13:51 mark of the second half made it a 61-40 lead for the Cowgirls, the biggest of the game. The Yellowjackets cut into the lead late as they hit 12 3-pointers in the game. Katrina Visina led the Yellowjackets with 16 points.

The Cowgirls are now 4-0 on the year and 3-0 in ASC play. LeTourneau fell to 1-4 overall and 1-2 in conference action. HSU will play at East Texas Baptist on Saturday at 1 p.m.
