ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' fourth-ranked women's basketball team moved to 3-o with a 76-62 win over UT-Tyler, Monday night in American Southwest Conference action at the Mabee Complex. The Cowgirls led by as many as 27 points in the second half and cruised to victory. Diana Martinez led the Cowgirls with a season-best 18 points and Melissa Henley added 14 points. Lyssa Dennard added 10 for the Cowgirls. UT-Tyler was led by RaTonya Hunter with 15 and Kasey Buggs had 14 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. HSU is now 3-0 on the year and 2-0 in league play. UT-Tyler fell to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play. HSU hosts LeTourneau on Thursday. |
