Cowgirls Move To 23-0

ALPINE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' second-ranked women's basketball team remained undefeated with an easy 87-61 win over Sul Ross State, Thursday evening in American Southwest Conference action at the Gallegos Center in Alpine, Texas.

Hardin-Simmons went on a 23-0 run in the first half to take a 27-2 lead and never looked back as they moved to 23-0 overall and to 13-0 in ASC West play. Sul Ross State fell to 11-12 overall and 4-9 in ASC play.

Kendra Anderson led the Cowgirls with 17 points in just 22 minutes. Sarah Allen added 16 off the bench and Lauren Harris contributed 10 as 12 Cowgirls scored in the game.

The 23-point run in the first half was the longest run of the season. The Cowgirls will try to cap a perfect regular-season when they travel to the Brownwood Coliseum for a game with Howard Payne.
