Anderson Gets 1,500th Point In Cowgirl Rout

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons second-ranked women's basketball team rolled past Schreiner University, 90-40, Thursday evening in American Southwest Conference West Division action, Thursday evening at the Mabee Complex.

The highlight of the night came early in the second half when senior Kendra Anderson became just the third player in school history to hit the 1,5000-point mark for her career. She finished the night with 21 points and six rebounds in 20 minutes of action.

HSU forced 38 turnovers in the game and scored 49 points off those turnovers. Veronica Jones had a stellar game for the Cowgirls with 17 points, six steals, four assists and four rebounds. Sarah Allen had 13 for HSU.

Schreiner was led by Ravyn Jackson's 11 points.

HSU improved to 16-0 with the win and to 6-0 in ASC play. Schreiner fell to 0-16, 0-6. HSU will return to action Saturday when it hosts Texas Lutheran. The win was the Cowgirls 33rd in a row at home.
