AUSTIN, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' second-ranked women's basketball team moved to 13-0 with a 77-57 win over Concordia-Austin, Saturday afternoon in American Southwest Conference action at the Woltman Gym in Austin, Texas .

Sarah Allen led the way for the Cowgirls with 18 points. Lauren Harris added 16, Kendra Anderson had 13 and Veronica Jones, Laura Ricci and Diana Martinez each had eight points in the Cowgirls' balanced attack. Ricci led the rebounding effort with nine.

HSU limited the Tornado's top scorer Ashley Edwards (18.7 ppg) to eight points, four of which came in the last minute of the game.

The Cowgirls shot 56.6 percent in the game, but committed 21 turnovers marking the first time this season they committed more turnovers than the opponent.

HSU improved to 13-0 on the season and 3-0 in ASC West play. Concordia fell to 5-7 overall and 1-1 in ASC West play. The Cowgirls return to action Thursday when they host Sul Ross State at 5:30 p.m. at the Mabee Complex.
