ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's basketball team got double figure scoring efforts from six players and beat Concordia-Austin 83-71 in American Southwest Conference West Division action, Saturday afternoon at the Mabee Complex.

The win was the Cowgirls 37th straight over and ASC foe and the 46th straight at the Mabee Complex in ASC play. It was also the Cowgirls 13th straight win.

Veronica Jones led the effort for the third straight game with 18 points. Lauren Harris had 16, Diana Martinez added 14, Melissa Forth chipped in 11 and freshmen Melissa Henley and Magna Green each had 10. Harris had 12 rebounds and Green had 11 giving both double-doubles.

Danielle Barnett led the Tornados with 30 points, including an 18-for-19 effort at the free throw line. Ashley Edwards chipped in 14.

The Cowgirls return to action Thursday at Sul Ross State.
