Jan. 11, 2003 ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's basketball team ran its winning streak to 11 games with a 75-56 win over Mississippi College, Saturday afternoon at the Mabee Complex. The Cowgirls rolled to a 42-22 lead and coasted to the victory. Four Cowgirls were in double figures, led by Lauren Harris' 16. Veronica Jones and Diana Martinez had 11 points each and Kendra Anderson added 10. Lacy Palomarez scored 15 points to lead the Choctaws, who dropped their second straight game to fall to 8-3. No. 2 HSU improved to 11-0. The Cowgirls return to action Thursday in ASC West Division play at Mary Hardin-Baylor. |
