Jan. 8, 2004 PINEVILLE, La. - Hardin-Simmons' women overcame an eight-point first-half deficit and was able to go on to a 69-57 win over Louisiana College, Thursday night in American Southwest Conference crossover basketball action in Pineville, La. The Cowgirls were led by Diana Martinez who scored a career-best 22 points and added six steals five rebounds and four assists in the game. Lauren Harris and Keila Remmele added 12 each for HSU. The win improved the Cowgirls to 10-1 on the year and they have now won 10 in a row overall and 34 straight against ASC opponents. Louisiana College fell to 4-7. Kim Reed led the Wildcats with 14 points. HSU returns to action Saturday at 10-1 Mississippi College at 1 p.m. |
