ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' second-ranked women's basketball team remained undefeated with an 87-58 pasting of Louisiana College, Thursday night at the Mabee Complex. Senior guard Sarah Allen had her best game as a Cowgirl with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting and also added eight assists. Senior post Laura Ricci led the Cowgirls with 21 points and hauled down 10 rebounds for her second straight double-double. Kendra Anderson had a ho-hum 20 points and 13 rebounds, after starting the game 1-for-8 from the field. Louisiana College jumped out of the gate with an 8-0 run and pushed it to 10-2, before the Cowgirls responded with a 12-2 run of their own to take a 14-10 lead. They never were threatened again in the contest. HSU (10-0) will return to action Saturday when it faces 8-1 Mississippi College at the Mabee Athletic Complex. Louisiana College evened its record at 4-4.
