Final Stats

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons came out hot and forced 23 turnovers and limited LeTourneau to 37.7 percent shooting for the game in an 85-53 victory in American Southwest Conference crossover action Monday night at the Mabee Complex.

The Cowgirls have now won nine straight games and 33 in a row over ASC opponents. HSU is 9-1 on the year, while the Yellowjackets fell to 3-6 on the campaign.

Harris scored 17 first-half points and her free throw with 2:19 to go in the half gave her the 16th point she needed to top the 1,000-point plateau. She finished the game with 20 points and seven rebounds in 31 minutes.

Sophomore post Erika Keese had a career-best night with 16 points off the bench. Diana Martinez added 14 and Melissa Henley had 12 to give the Cowgirls four players in double figures.

Freshman Lyssa Dennard had a career-best and team-high 10 rebounds. Brooke Stowers led the Yellowjackets with 10 points.

HSU returns to action at 5:30 p.m. at Louisiana College. That game can be heard on KAGT 90.5 in Abilene or on the web.
