ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons senior tennis player David Wu was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Division III West Region Senior Player of the Year.

The two-time All-American and ASC player of the year and four-time All-American Southwest Conference first-team selection finished his career as one of the top performers in HSU history. Wu led the Cowboys to four ASC titles and HSU never lost a conference match in the four years he played for HSU.

He won the ASC singles and doubles title as a senior and a shoulder injury cost him from returning to the NCAA Championships as an individual. For the year he was 16-5 in singles and combined to go 18-4 in doubles action.

The award is for the top senior player in the region and is awarded for a resume for the whole career and not just the season.
