RICHARDSON, Texas - American Southwest Conference and ASC West Division champion Hardin-Simmons University placed a combined five players on the ASC All-Conference men's and women's tennis teams as selected by the league's 15 head coaches.

Brad Grace and David Wu represent Hardin-Simmons on the All-ASC men's team while the trio of Nancy Chandler, Bobbye Thompson and Rebecca Watkins earned places on the All-ASC women's team. All five HSU players were All-West Division First Team selections while head coach Jim Cole was named ASC West Division Coach of the Year in both men's and women's tennis. Watkins was also named West Division Women's Player and Newcomer of the Year. Wu was selected West Division Men's Player of the Year while Roy Lehman was tabbed West Division Freshman of the Year.

Kevin Durten of UT Dallas, Patrick Painter of UT Tyler and Mississippi College's Thomas Blalock and Drew Brooks complete the six-member ASC All-Conference men's team. Durten was also named ASC East Division Player of the Year while Hal Hawkins of Mississippi College was selected ASC East Newcomer of the Year. UT Tyler, who won the ASC East championship, claimed two men's individual awards: Painter as ASC East Freshman of the Year and head coach Bryan Whitt as ASC East Coach of the Year.

The ASC All-Conference women's team also includes Katherine Fountain of Mississippi College, Andrea Hildago of UT Dallas and Lindsey Hoffman of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Mississippi College swept the ASC East individual awards with Fountain voted Player of the Year, Cameron Vaughan as Newcomer of the Year and Heather Schwartz as Freshman of the Year. Head coach David Boteler was selected ASC East Women's Coach of the Year. Casey Morgan of Howard Payne was named ASC West Freshman of the Year.
