ABILENE, TX - The HSU Cowgirls & Cowboys tennis teams begin fall play this weekend at the Southwestern Invitational Tournament in Georgetown. Matches are at 3:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. today, where HSU will play host team, Southwestern. On Saturday, HSU will hit the courts again with Schreiner at 10:00 a.m. and Howard Payne at 2:00 p.m.

Both the men's and women's teams are returning from conference titles this year(19-5, 16-7 season records respectively). The Cowboys retain seven lettermen from last year's squad, while the Cowgirls return five. Both teams have added new recruits this year to add to an already strong club.

The HSU tennis teams are looking foward to a successful fall season to hang their hat on before conference play begins in the spring.
