TYLER, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team found itself in an earlier hole after losing the double point, but rallied for a 4-2 win over UT-Tyler, Sunday evening at the Patriot Center in Tyler.

The Cowboys are 10-7 on the year and have won 51 straight American Southwest Conference matches. The title was the fifth in a row for the Cowboys. HSU will wait for the NCAA selection committee to see if its record is good enough for an at-large berth into the NCAAs.

HSU lost the doubles point for the first time this season against an ASC team, but battled back to win four singles match. The other match on the court was tied up when David Wu clinched the ASC title for the Cowboys with the last match for the second straight year.

Wu won at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-4. Oglesby took care of Patrick Painter at No. 1, 6-1, 6-2. Roy Lehman won, 6-0, 6-3 at No. 4 and Wade Morgan won by the same score at No. 5.

Wu and Dusty Oglesby each won singles matches and teamed for a win at No. 1 doubles and earned co-MVP honors for the tournament. They were joined by Roy Lehman and Wade Morgan on the all-tournament team.
