ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team continued its American Southwest Conference winning streak with a 7-0 win over Howard Payne, Tuesday afternoon at the Streich Tennis Center. The Cowboys won their 46th straight ASC match with a 7-0 win. The No. 23 Cowboys have not lost an individual match in any dual this season. David Wu knocked off Andy Jones in straight sets at No. 1 singles and also won at doubles. The Cowboys lost only two sets in the match to improve to 5-0 on the year and 4-0 in ASC West play. The Cowboys head to California this weekend for four matches, which could determine their postseason future. With no automatic bids, HSU would likely need at least two wins in California to feel secure in garnering an automatic bid to the NCAAs. |
