ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons had a dominating weekend at the American Southwest Conference Individual Tournament, which was co-hosted by McMurry and Hardin-Simmons at four different locations in Abilene.

In flight one singles Chris Palmatier won two matches, before falling in the semifinals to Taylor Clemmer of Mississippi College. Roy Lehman fell to Adam Stoner of UT-Tyler in the quarterfinals. The Cowboys' top two players David Wu and Brad Grace did not play as both are battling through injury problems.

Wes Kidd and Wade Morgan each advanced to the semifinals of the flight two singles, before falling. In flight three singles Tanner Reed advanced to the finals before losing. Joel McDowell went 2-1 in the bracket.

Toby Farmer and Reed Stafford faced off in the flight four singles final, with Farmer winning 6-1, 7-5. Trent Graham won the flight five singles for the Cowboys.

In doubles action, Wu and Grace, who are one of the top doubles' teams in the region, rolled through the flight one action. They won by scores of 8-1, 8-2, 8-2 and 8-3 in winning the crown. Morgan and Lehman fell in the second round.

Flight two doubles saw Palmatier and Bjorn Subia storm through the bracket for the win. Kidd and Stafford and McDowell and Reed all advanced to the semifinals, giving the Cowboys three of the four teams in the semifinals.
