Cowboys Fall To Metro State

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team dropped its first dual of the season, falling 6-3 to Division II Metro State, Friday morning at the Streich Tennis Center.

Andy Cariens gave the Cowboys a win at No. 4 singles with a come-from-behind 3-6, 6-1, 10-6. Justin Lockaby won at No. 5 singles, 7-5, 6-1 and Lockaby and Cairens teamed to win 8-3 at No. 2 doubles.

HSU will return to action on Saturday when they play at Trinity and open conference play at Texas Lutheran.
