Feb. 25, 2006 ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team extended its American Southwest Conference winning streak to 45 with a 7-0 win over Concordia-Austin, Saturday afternoon at Fairway Oaks Tennis Club. The No. 25 Cowboys won five of the six singles matches by scores of 6-0, 6-0 and dropped only one game in doubles. HSU improved to 2-0 on the year and 2-0 in American Southwest Conference play. Tanner Reed took the win at No. 1 singles for the Cowboys and he also picked up a win at No. 2 doubles. Doug Eckstein, who has coached the last two seasons, won his first singles match in three years at No. 3 singles. HSU is off until March 3 when it plays at McMurry.
