ABILENE, Texas - The HSU men's tennis team is now 5-0 after this weekends match play. Western New Mexico, Concordia, McMurry, and Southwestern have been added to HSU's defeated list. On Friday the Cowboys defeated Western New Mexico 8-1 in the early afternoon match. The Cowboys then returned to play Concordia later that afternoon. HSU finished strong with a 7-0 win. The Cowboys started strong Saturday morning with an 8-1 defeat over cross-town rival McMurry. Due to cold and windy weather, HSU's second match of the day was postponed until 5:00 that evening, when they took on Southwestern. HSU dominated beating Southwestern 9-0. The win guaranteed a regional ranking ahead of Southwestern. The Cowboys next action of play will be this following weekend with the ASC Individual Tournament hosted here in Abilene. Last year the Cowboys took home 1st and 2nd place in doubles and 1st in singles ASC titles. Weekend Results:
