A total of 37 Hardin-Simmons
student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-ASC teams for their
respective sports it was announced by the league office.
HSU had 19 football players, five men's
soccer, eight women's soccer and five volleyball players named to the teams.
HSU had the third most selections as
East Texas Baptist and Mississippi College each had 38 selections. Both of
those schools also offer two more sports than HSU with men's and women's
cross country.
To be eligible for ASC All-Academic honors,
student-athletes must have lettered in the fall 2007 season, be in their second
year and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or better.
