Final Stats

KERRVILLE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team advanced to its second straight American Southwest Conference final with a 1-0 win over Ozarks in the semifinals Saturday afternoon in Kerrville.

David Salas scored his second goal of the tournament when he took a Colin McDaniel assist and buried it past Brian Sarber the Ozarks' goalkeeper.

Freshman keeper was great in goal stopping eight shots. The Cowboys outshot Ozarks 18-14 in the game, but Ozarks led in shots on goal 8-6. The game avenges a 4-0 loss by the Cowboys in the regular season. It is the second straight year the Cowboys have ended Ozarks' season. Ozarks ended its season with a record of 13-5-3.

HSU improved to 13-5-1 and is one win away from its second straight ASC title and the sixth in school history. HSU will play Mississippi College in the final as the Choctaws upset top-seeded Schreiner 3-2 in the first semifinal.
