AUSTIN, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team tied Division II St. Edward's, 1-1, following two overtimes, Saturday in Austin in the Cowboys' regular-season finale. Chris Carroll scored the lone goal for the Cowboys in the 10th minute and St. Edward's scored in th 18th minute. The two teams slugged it out for the next 90 minutes with both teams missing numerous scoring chances. Ryan Shaughnessy played the game in net for the Cowboys and had nine saves. HSU improved to 13-3-2 on the season. St. Edward's is 9-7-2 on the year. HSU will play in the American Southwest Conference Tournament at UT-Dallas, against the Comets on Friday, the time is yet to be determined. |
