Salas Sinks McMurry in Overtime :: Salas Has Third Overtime Goal of Year

ABILENE, Texas - For the third time this season, Hardin-Simmons senior forward David Salas had a game-winning goal in overtime as he shot the Cowboy soccer team past McMurry, 2-1, on Saturday at McMurry.

McMurry scored the first goal of the game at the 51:01 mark when Miguel Aguero found the net on an assist from Travis Carmichael.

Then Salas took over as he scored at the 62:33 minute when he followed a Jorge Vega miss into the net. He then found the net from the top of the box at the 103:30 mark to end the game.

Freshman keeper Austin White and a solid defense in front of him limited McMurry to only seven shots on goal. White saved six of them.

The Cowboys are now 10-5 on the year and 8-3 in ASC play.
