Cowboys Fall in Overtime to MC

CLINTON, Miss. - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team could not hold a 1-0 lead and ended up falling 2-1 in overtime to Mississippi College in American Southwest Conference action in Clinton on Friday afternoon.

The Cowboys took a lead in the 33rd minute when David Salas found Colt McKee for a goal. The game remained that way until the Choctaws scored the equalizer in the 84th minute

Drew Ziegler ended the game at the 107:33 mark just 2:27 before the game would have ended in a tie.

Austin White was solid in goal for the Cowboys with nine saves, including three in overtime. MC outshot the Cowboys 25-11 in the game.

HSU is now 8-5 overall and 6-3 in conference play. Mississippi College improved to 10-2-2 and 5-2-1 in league action. HSU plays at Louisiana College on Saturday at 3 p.m.
