Oct. 1, 2005 MARSHALL, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team dropped an American Southwest Conference soccer games against East Texas Baptist 2-1, Saturday in Marshall. Ryan Black converted a penalty kick in the 83rd minute and East Texas Baptist came from behind to beat the Cowboys, 2-1. HSU scored in the 46th minute when Chris Carroll scored for the Cowboys. ETBU tied the game with a Clint Queen goal in the 55th minute. HSU outshot the Tigers 20-11. The Cowboys are now 6-2-1 on the year and 4-2-0 in league play. East Texas Baptist improved to 5-4-1 overall and 1-3 in league play. |
