Sept. 30, 2006 TYLER, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to UT-Tyler in American Southwest Conference action in Tyler on Saturday to end the Cowboys' 11-game ASC winning streak. UT-Tyler scored the first two goals, before HSU made it 2-1 in the 72nd minute when David Salas found Colt McKee and McKee found the net to make it 2-1. At the 75:10 mark a ball clipped off Chinedu Okoro and into the goal for an own goal that gave UT-Tyler the insurmountable lead. HSU is now 7-3 on the year and 5-1 in ASC play. UT-Tyler improved to 7-2 on the year and 5-1 in ASC play. --- HSU Athletics --- |
