ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team looses 2-1 in overtime in American Southwest Conference action against Texas Lutheran Saturday at Shelton Stadium.

Sean O'Brien, a junior midfielder and forward for TLU, scored the first goal of the game in the 18th minute off of an assist from Ross Kuykendall.

Sophomore forward Chris Carroll scored HSU's only goal of the game off of a penalty kick during the 82nd minute to tie the game and sent it to overtime.

TLU responded at the 91st minute of the game in overtime, Jake Waggoner scored a goal off of a penalty kick to end the game 2-1.

Carroll led the team with three shots and one shot on goal.

Senior goalkeeper Charles Johnson had 10 saves and two goals allowed in 91 minutes of action.

HSU drops to 1-1-1 in ASC play and 4-4-1 overall and TLU moves to 2-0 in conference and 5-1-1 overall.

The Cowboys will return to action when they travel Austin, Texas to play Concordia in ASC action at 5 p.m.
