Sept. 24, 2004 SEGUIN, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team remained undefeated in American Southwest Conference play with a 2-1 overtime win over Texas Lutheran, Friday evening in Seguin. The Bulldogs got out to an early 1-0 lead with a goal in the 17th minute. HSU answered with a goal by Daniel Arnold before halftime. The game remained scoreless the rest of the way, until freshman Drew Meilinger hit the game-winner for the Cowboys, two minute into overtime. HSU improved to 5-2-1 overall and 3-0 in ASC play. Texas Lutheran fell to 1-4 overall and 1-2 in ASC play. HSU plays at Schreiner on Saturday. |
