ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team moved to 2-0 in American Southwest Conference action with a 3-2 win over Schreiner, Saturday afternoon at the HSU Soccer Complex. Jorge Vega gave the Cowboys an early lead with a goal in the 20th minute on an assist from John Byrom. Travis Curd tied the game for Schreiner four minutes later. Vega found Cody Oswald for a goal in the 49th minute and Schreiner responded with a Curd goal in the 52nd minute. Vega scored the game-winner in the 69th minute on an assist from Colt McKee. HSU is now 2-3 on the year, but moved to 2-0 in league play. Schreiner is 1-2-1 on the year and 0-1-1 in league play. |
