"This was a big win for our program, Wheaton is one of the best teams in the country," said HSU Head Coach Dan Heger. "It was a great team effort, we showed a lot of heart and came out and attacked them early and got on the board."

"James (Burton) had two great goals and we played pretty good defense and had enough to hold them off at the end. To beat the No. 5 team in the nation on their home field is a remarkable achievement for this young team. We are getting better and this will bring their confidence level up even more."

The win was the Cowboys' second in as many days and is one of the biggest wins in HSU men's soccer history. Wheaton fell to 1-1 and HSU is now 2-1 on the year.

The schedule gets no easier for the Cowboys as they play No. 3 Trinity, next Friday in the ASC-SCAC challenge at UT-Dallas in Richardson.
